Leon-Guanajuato

Day 1Arrival in colonial Guanajuato. Fly in to Leon then enjoy private transfer to the brightly colored city of Guanajuato. Check in to the hotel then relax before an amazing Mexican dinner.

Today you’ll learn the stories of Mexico’s heroes of independence on a historic walking tour, visit the Hidalgo market, ride the funicular up to the famous Pípila statue for a sunset view overlooking the city. Then wrap up the day with an entertaining troubadour show as they sing their way through the city streets.

San Miguel de Allende

Day 3Hacienda life. It’s not every day you get to visit an authentic hacienda. Find out what role haciendas played in Mexican history and then lounge in a hammock or sit by the pool before a one-of-a-kind lunch. Then it’s on to San Miguel de Allende, another colonial masterpiece in central Mexico.

Day 4 – Galleries and markets and more. Voted one of the best cities in Mexico to visit, San Miguel bursts with opportunities for excellent dining, shopping, and local hands-on opportunities to experience culture. The city also just happens to be our guide’s hometown and he knows it like the back of his hand. He’ll give you an inside look at what the city has to offer. Later enjoy free time to explore some of the galleries and markets on your own.

Morelia

Day 5One of the most beautiful cities in the world. Mexicans proudly boast that Morelia is one
of the most beautiful cities in Mexico. And, it doesn’t have the rush of tourists. Explore the historical city center and the breathtaking cathedral. Visit a local ministry impacting underprivileged youth in the community. Then in the evening hit the best taco stand ever, right in the home of a local Christian family.

After a short hike, you’re in for a treat: millions of monarch butterflies in all of their brilliance. Late afternoon we’ll visit San Felipe, a small ruins tucked away off the beaten track before heading back for a late dinner.

Morelia & Patzcuaro
