The impact of what’s going on in our country and around the world has affected all of us. As a result, some are praying more, others are getting more involved in their communities, donating food, helping clean up neighborhoods.
But sometimes we need a healthy break, and the great outdoors calls. Head out into nature–hike through the forest, relax under the stars, splash in the waves–and everything seems to fall into perspective. Because getting out into nature is more than an escape; it’s a reminder. Nature turns our thoughts to the One who shaped the universe with detail and beauty. Surrounding ourselves with nature can remind us how big God is. If he cares so intently for the universe, he’ll certainly take care of us.
Many of us can’t travel right now, but landscape photographer Erik Stensland makes the case that a nature photo itself can become a journey. Many of the same benefits of actual travel can happen by viewing a photo the right way. So travel virtually through these stunning nature photos, many of which were taken on a Niteo tour, to far-flung destinations and remember the God who is still in control of all.
