Day 1 – Arrive in Milan, the capital of the Lombardy region and financial center of Italy. After checking in to your hotel, visit the famous historical Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II Mall in the heart of the fashion district. Next take a walking tour and visit sites like the iconic Milan Duomo. Wrap up the day with authentic Italian cuisine at one of the best local trattorias in the city.

Day 2 – Your next stop is Parma, the gastronomy capital of Italy and home of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, prosciutto and hand-turned pasta. Check into your hotel located in the main Piazza Garibaldi. Relax over dinner at a famous local restaurant.

Day 3 – Spend the day with other Christians at the dynamic, multi-cultural Gruppo Cristiano Latino Americano and get acquainted with their warm-hearted leaders, Pastors Aldo and Mariela Cerasino. You’ll also meet ACCI Italian Director, Francesco and Alessia Abortivi, and hear what God is doing in Italy.
Day 4 – Leave for Cinque Terre, the picturesque villages that overlook the scenic beaches of the Liguorian coast. Hike the mountain trails from one colorful village to another and then spend time on your own. Enjoy outstanding cuisine and fresh seafood right from the sea.

Day 5– Meet with a local cultural informer and continue exploring the five quaint towns of Cinque Terre.
Day 6 – Niteo Tours guide and cultural informer will have the privilege of leading you to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Visit some of its most well-known piazzas and sites, including the Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria, and the Ponte Vecchio.

Day 7 – Explore more of Florence on your own before leaving for Anghiari, a medieval jewel sitting atop a hill overlooking the Tiber Valley. Visit the well-known Busatti family factory where fine linens have been designed for one hundred years. Discover unique artisan shops while enjoying the stunning views. Depart for Città di Castello, a small historic town nestled at the foot of the Apennines, and your home for the next three nights.

Day 8 – Travel to an enclosed small private wood where you’ll hunt for truffles. Then watch and participate as the chef owner of this family business teaches you how to transform those same truffles into a simple but elegant meal. Enjoy free time in the late afternoon.
Day 9 – Twice a week the medieval piazze comes alive with merchants and local families buying everything from pecorino to shoes. This isn’t the typical tourist photo-op, but an interaction with a real market where the residents of Città di Castello live and shop. Explore this real market and then enjoy some time to explore the town on your own.
CORTONA OF TUSCANY
Days 10 and 11 – One of the highlights of Italy is taking in the essence of small town life in Tuscany. Each corner provides a new close-up view of medieval and renaissance Italy. Try your hand at making several types of homemade pasta in the kitchen of a local culinary expert, followed by a lunch where your entrée is the main event. Visit an amazing gallery and meet its owner, then explore the surrounding area, and take in the sweeping countryside vistas.

Day 12 – Transfer to Rome for an overview tour of some of Rome’s most famous neighborhoods and sites. Relax with friends over a final farewell dinner.
